Part 1 of 3: Promos for the notorious Olga exploitation films. "White Slaves of Chinatown" (1964), the trailer is more exciting than this tepid first film in the series. The first of a new "roughie" genre that soon replaced nudie-cutie adult films in grind-house theaters. The producer/writer was influenced by the 1950s Irving Klaw fetish stag films with Bettie Page et al.
"Olga's House of Shame" (1964) third, and best, in the series with Audrey Campbell's last appearance as Olga. Crudely made and lacking live audio (just documentary style narration and some badly looped dialog), Still, this pulls out the stops with never-before-seen S&M fetish elements including nipple torture, sadistic spanking, breast whipping, pony girl discipline, and the use of a perforated drool gag. Before this film, one could only see that sort of thing in a stag film.
The last trailer is for "Mme. Olga's Massage Parlor" (1965), 4th in the series and only slightly related to the others. This features health club exercise equipment adapted for tormenting unruly white slave prostitutes.
The producer George Weiss is best known for producing Ed Wood's "Glen or Glenda?" Weiss added risque fetishistic bondage and whipping scenes to Wood's dream sequence (also posted at this site). Joseph P. Mawra directed the series.
William L. Rose, the cinematographer, went on to direct several roughie films with whipping and spanking scenes such as Rent-a-Girl (1965), Pamela, Pamela you are... (1968), and The Girl in Room 2a (1973).
